Engagement summary
BC Parks is seeking feedback on the proposed Cypress Mountain Ski Resort Development Plan (SRDP). Cypress Mountain Resort is a year-round recreation destination within Cypress Provincial Park, offering a range of activities and visitor facilities that support both resort-based recreation and access to the surrounding park. The plan would guide future resort development, facility upgrades, and year-round recreation opportunities at Cypress Mountain Resort within Cypress Provincial Park.
Cypress Mountain has developed a proposed SRDP document including maps which are available on the Cypress Mountain website.
Plan proposals
The proposed Ski Resort Development Plan outlines a sixty-year vision for Cypress Mountain Resort. Key elements include upgrades to lodges and lifts, expanded snowmaking, improved visitor access and transportation, and new opportunities for year-round recreation. The plan would guide future development within the existing resort area.
BC Parks involvement
As part of the review process, BC Parks is inviting the public to learn about the proposal and share feedback on the draft plan. Feedback received during this engagement will help inform BC Parks’ review of the proposed plan and its potential effects on recreation, environmental values, visitor experience, and long-term management of the resort area.
How your contribution makes a difference
Your feedback will help BC Parks understand public perspectives on the proposed Ski Resort Development Plan. Comments received through this engagement will be reviewed alongside technical information, environmental studies, Indigenous consultation led by the Province, policy requirements, and input from other interested parties.
